Information - The Grange
The Grange offers a friendly luxury break, with stunning views from every room of either the sea, the moors or both.
Our guests benefit from free wifi *, free car parking and secure motorbike and bike garaging.
The gardens have a sunny outlook all day being east/south facing, so guests can enjoy the views.
The village has a village shop close by, plus a public house only a 2 minute walk away that provides good quality food, but is also within a 10 minute walk into Robin Hoods Bay where there is a Post Office/Shop with a cash point and many shops, tea rooms ,restaurants and several public houses.
Whilst every care is taken to ensure that accommodation and amenities are suitable for use as described. It is expected that all guests exercise caution and provide adequate supervision for children whilst here at the Grange. If in doubt, or should you have any concerns over safety aspects, please contact the owners in the first instance.
Motor car and personal belongings
We have free off road car parking, and also secure parking for bikes and motorcycles .Personal belongings are at the guests risk at all times. No responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage to any vehicle or its contents.
Under no circumstances will the maximum number of persons per room identified on the confirmation booking email be exceeded . We reserve the right to refuse admittance if this condition is not observed. In addition The Grange reserves the right to refuse, or revoke (before or during the holiday) any bookings from parties which may in their opinion (and at their sole discretion) be deemed unsuitable or be causing a disturbance to other guests.
Guests are responsible for the room and are expected to take all reasonable care of the same. However, should a breakage/spillage occur please advise us so we may deal with this before our next guests arrive. All rooms in The Grange are NO SMOKING, a seating area is provided outside for smokers.
Damages and breakages are the legal responsibility of the guest.
If a guest is not entirely satisfied with the accommodation offered then they should let us know immediately and we shall attempt to resolve the problem. If the guest feels that the problem has not been resolved to his satisfaction he/she should forward full details of the complaint in writing as soon as possible in order that we are able to act quickly in helping to resolve a dispute arising from any such complaint.
The Grange takes every care to ensure the accuracy of all descriptions about the property. All information is given in good faith and assumed to be correct at the time of printing/ publishing on the Internet, but we cannot be held responsible for any errors, or the results of such errors. Furthermore The Grange cannot accept liability for happenings outside our normal reasonable control, such as breakdown of domestic appliances, wiring, plumbing, sudden temporary invasion of pests, any damage resulting from exceptional weather conditions or negligence resulting in loss, injury or accident. Neither can the Grange accept liability for changes to (or withdrawal of) specified area amenities mentioned in any descriptions.
Any dispute arising between the Grange and the guest, if not resolved mutually, may be referred to a single arbitrator if agreed by the guest, or in default of such agreement to the President of the Law Society or Institute of Arbitrators. In either event, such arbitration would be subject to the provisions of the Arbitration Act 1950 and 1996 or any statutory modification thereof for the time being in force and does not effect the statutory rights of either party.
The Grange rooms are accessed from the front main door which is always well lit. To the outside of the property, there is a seating area with a bench for the convenience of guests who wish to smoke as smoking is not permitted in the house. Rooms are accessed via a wide staircase to the first floor rooms and a further narrower stairway to the second floor room, which may not be suitable for anyone with walking disability.
*WiFi usage whilst we provide this free of charge to guests we must ask that downloading of any material to your devices and its usage is kept to a minimum please.
Care for our neighbours
We live in a residential area and ask that guests returning to the property late at night respect our neighbours and keep noise to a minimum. Also when returning to rooms please respect our other guests need for quiet.
